    Hello !
Petite question…

Si tu as d’autres questions n’hesites pas.

With great interest we tried out your mobile app for aggregating and consuming podcasts. Its well built and seems to have all the features a user needs to find and play new podcasts on his mobile device.

As the producer of the Knightwise.com podcast, a podcast with “hacks tips and tweaks for cross platform geeks” we are looking for new ways and opportunities to connect to a broader audience. Since our show talks about “letting technology work for you, regardless of the operating system you are on” a great slice of our audience consists of mobile users , most of whom don’t even use a computer in the process of aggregating their favorite podcasts.

Therefor we would like to expand that audience and ask if it would be possible to submit our podcast to your podcatcher. Knightwise.com is a bi-weekly (soon to be weekly) podcast with both audio and video content. Our audio comes in MP3 format our video in MP4 format. The show has a high production quality, a clear brand and a well worked out format. All of our shows are family safe and feature only creative commons (podsafe) content. We have seperate feeds for the audio and the video. Shownotes, links and descriptions of each episodes are provided in the metadata of every file, offering the listener a complete package.

“Knightwise.com is a website with hacks tips and tweaks for cross platform geeks. The home of the Knightwise.com cross platform podcast that makes technology work for you and not the other way around. A place to go for all geeks who slide between Mac, iOS, Android, Linux and Windows offering an essential mix of hacks, tips, howto’s and tweaks spiced up with a dash of geek culture.”

We would like to ask you if we could submit our Podcast feed to your podcatcher.
    Our feeds are

    Our “Mediafeed” (all episodes) http://feeds.feedburner.com/feedburner/knightcast
    Our “Video” feed http://feeds.feedburner.com/knightwisecomscreencast
    Our “Video” feed http://feeds.feedburner.com/knightcastpodcast

If you require more information or have any questions please feel free to contact us. If you choose to add our feeds to you podcatcher, please notify us so we can link to your application on our upcoming “Available on ..” page.

    Kind regards.

I got a new phone and was wondering how to get all of my downloaded podcasts to show as downloaded on my new phone. Currently they are on a microSD card, but I’m not sure how to get Podcast Addict to recognize they are there. Can you help?

    Thank you

For now you can just export/import your podcasts subscriptions.
If you select the same download folder and start downloading an episode that already exists it will find it and flag it as already downloaded. But you still need to press the download button manually…

Sorry for not writing in French. It’s not nearly good enough.
I love podcast addict! It’s the best listen replacement on the play store.
One feature that could be great to have is to limit the amount of downloaded episodes per podcast or the total number of downloaded. Right now all the episodesare taking around 8gb..

Thanks and keep doing such a great job!

    Salut !

Hi, I love your application, but I keep experiencing problem in down-loading podcast from some source. Just for you to check, podcast from http://www.deejay.it.
Do I make any mistake, or do the radio supply podcast in a format which is not supported, or what?
Thanks for your application and your help

Ive now been « trying » to use your Podcast for a month. Long commutes in car. But cannot find instructions on things like searching for podcasts a.d playing them and deleating them. What i know i learned by trial and error. For example just foud out ican press and hold to get a new window of options to open. If there is English Instructions can you tell me where? Thank you

When you first install the app there’s a message explaining how to add podcasts (+ button in the action bar). To delete podcasts just press the Trash icon in the Action bar. Also don’t forget to tune the app settings to automate all the things you want like episode deletion. Regarding the context menu it’s pretty common in every computer program (right click) and every mobile app (long press). I know the app needs some improvement in the ui and navigation and that will be done in the upcoming v2.0

can I please ask you to add our feed?

I am in the middle of my transition off of Google Listen and onto Podcast Addict. I am having some difficulty with learning the user interface of Podcast Addict or at least getting it to do most of what I had Google Listen doing: 1) automatically downloading podcasts as they are added to a listen queue, 2) Having an easily accessible list of podcasts which have yet to be played back. I’m sure I could think of others. I’m pretty certain that PodcastAddict can do all that I need I just don’t seem to get how to navigate the interface all that well.

    14/08/2013 à 07:59 | #26

    @Kevin Slater
You can enable Automatic download for every podcasts in Settings/Download. If you prefer, you can do it podcast by podcast. Just long press a podcast and select the ‘Automatic download’ entry.
You can also enable automatic playlist in Settings/Playlist. That way, every downloaded episode is automatically added to the playlist.
If you do so you will find every playable episodes in the playlist.
You can open the playlist from the main screen using the app icon in the actionbar.
Regargin the interface you find the list of subscribed podcasts in the main screen. You press on a podcast to see the list of its episodes. You press on an episode and you see its description. From there you can swipe between the podcast episodes, download/delete it, enqueue/dequeue it, start playing, …
You will also find a lot of options by long pressing on a podcast or an episode.
If you have other questions, feel free to ask

Hey guy! Use your app and advertise it to all of my friends all of the time! Thank you!

One feature that would be amazing to have is being able to bookmark/tag multiple positions within podcast.

Some educational podcasts can be up to 3 hours long. Let’s say variety of interesting information is being mentioned during those 3 hours (books to read, documentaries to watch, etc), but to find it later becomes extremely time consuming since you have to scroll through 3 hours of talks.

Solution: a button that marks moments in the podcast that later can be easily found.

    Thank you very much!

Hi. Is it possible to use podcast addict to play my audio book on my phone (which is in a folder on the sd section).?

I’ve tried adding as « add folder content as virtual podcast » but the audio files don’t appear.

I look forward to hearing from you soon.

Please contact me by mail or on podcastaddict.uservoice.com using the contact support button.
If you add the folder that contains your file as a virtual folder you will be able to see those files unless the format isn’t supported. What is the file extension ?
